APWA Punjab provides state-of-the-art hostels and facilities including safe housing, dining mess and other basic amenities to women from and outside Lahore, who would otherwise be unable to take up jobs in the city.
Over the last seven years, APWA has established four hostels in Lahore. Two of the hostels, Gul-e-Ra’ana, were inaugurated by Begum Ra’ana Liaquat Ali Khan on the 29th October 1970 and were completed in 1972. The third hostel, the Begum Masuda Hamid Hostel, was completed in 1983. The ground floor of the fourth hostel was funded through the M.N.A funds provided by Mrs. Shakeela Khanam Rashid and was inaugurated by her in 2010. The 1st floor was completed, financed and commissioned in 2015 by APWA Punjab HQ and is now running to full capacity.
